Impact & ESG Report As of September 2026

Measuring what matters.

Kop SDG operates as a transparent, member-governed cooperative. This page reports our real, current standing against Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) measures — not projections.

Governance

Member-governed, transparently run.

Board Structure
Governed by a 12-member Board of Directors (Ahli Lembaga Koperasi) — a Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer, plus nine board members, each an active practitioner in SDG-aligned community work.
Regulatory Oversight
Registered 10 April 2025 and supervised by Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM), the national cooperative regulator. Financial year runs 1 February to 31 January.
Share Capital Structure
Equity is tracked separately from revenue via a formal Share Capital Register, at a par value of RM100 per share — standard cooperative practice, recorded internally ahead of SKM filing.
Environmental

Sustainable materials, real practice.

Upcycled Materials

A dedicated product category built entirely on recycled plastic and glass — including coasters, phone stands and décor pieces produced from 100% recycled plastic waste.

Sustainable Agriculture

Our Agriculture & Gardening line, including home microgreen kits, promotes low-input, small-footprint food growing at the household level.

Heritage Craft, Not Mass Production

Batik and handwoven products are made using traditional, low-impact techniques passed down through indigenous and rural communities, rather than industrial manufacturing.

Social

Income and dignity for named communities.

Women’s Economic Empowerment
Multiple product lines are made by marginalised women, including a cooperative of women producers in Selayang Baru and indigenous women in Baling, Kedah.
Nationwide Community Reach
Members and Solution Partners span 8 Malaysian states, from Selangor to Sabah, reflecting a genuinely national — not centralised — base.
Training & Mentorship
One of Kop SDG’s three SKM-mandated functions: providing entrepreneurship, branding and digital marketing training directly to members.
External Recognition

Validated by national institutions, not just self-reported.

Malaysia SDG Community Impact Icon Award

Presented to Kop SDG board member Tn. Mat Zaid bin Muhamad at the 5th Malaysia Sustainability Leadership Summit (15 September 2026), by Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah, Deputy Chair of APPGM-SDG, and Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, Advisor to the Society for the Promotion of SDGs.
